Helping Military Families Thrive and Reconnect
About half of all military veterans in the United States do not receive care in the federal Veterans Health Administration. Nearly all family members of veterans rely on the civilian healthcare system and on community social services for support. The ability to provide effective, culturally competent care for this unique population is essential for health care providers. Factors such as deployment, combat exposure and military-specific environmental exposures create a set of health needs unique to the patient who is a military veteran or for a family member of a veteran.
Baystate Health is now offering complimentary registration to health care providers, first responders (EMT, police, law enforcement and firefighters), emergency department staff, psychologists, social workers and all social services professionals, AND students studying in these areas in higher education!
We want as many people as possible to receive this exceptional educational experience (up to 5.75 hours of credit). As a community, we need everyone’s help to provide the best possible care for our Veterans and their family members. The theme for this year’s conference is “Helping Military Families Thrive and Reconnect.”
To receive your complimentary registration, enter COMP in the coupon code box after adding the course to your cart. Continental breakfast and lunch are included. Reserve your spot today – this conference is expected to fill up fast.
