Many people dread the strategic planning process for good reasons. Strategic plans are intended to help organizations improve, and yet we use very little of what we know about change management and sustainable improvement in the strategic planning process. This results in a less engaging, more time-consuming, and less effective process. It doesn’t have to be this way.
This session will introduce participants to a more inclusive approach to starting their strategic planning. Jeff Wetherhold is a change management expert who has helped hundreds of teams make and sustain changes to improve client outcomes. Jeff will discuss how the strategic planning process changes when we approach it with a mindset of change management and improvement, and he will share practical ways to improve existing strategic plans that he finds most organizations ignore.
