19th Annual West Region Self Advocacy Conference

The Consortium’s West Region Self Advocacy will be hosting its 19th Annual Massachusetts West Region Self Advocacy Conference at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023 in the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield. This year’s theme is “Self Advocacy & Human Rights for All”. This annual gathering connects self-advocates from across New England to share ideas and learn from one another while encouraging a collective voice in advocacy.

This year is especially meaningful for many people in the self-advocacy community as 2023 marks the 75th anniversary of the ratification of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In many respects this document signaled a new era. It embodied the hope of a more peaceful and equitable society where all human beings are valued for their contributions. the decades since self-advocates have put those ideals into action.
